Kampong Glam is a bohemian and historic quarter in Singapore with lots to do! If you're looking for the best hotels in Kampong Glam Singapore, scroll down for more info.

Kampong Glam is one of Singapore's most fascinating districts: it's the historic Muslim quarter- the 19th century Arab trade hub where you'll find mosques close to lots of cool shops, Marina Bay, and things to do in the neighbourhood today.
Do note that whilst it's a fun place to be, it might not be the neighbourhood for you if you're an extremely light sleeper as it is a popular nightlife and dining place! (If you're not married to this neighbourhood, here are the best luxury hotels in Singapore, along Orchard Road and beyond.)
Andaz

Highlights:

- Good local food: Alley on25 is 1 of the top hotel coffee shops for local Singaporean food (I much prefer it to the Straits Kitchen at Grand Hyatt, Andaz's sister hotel.)
- Infinity Pool with a good view of the Singapore Flyer (on the 25th floor)- and nowhere as crowded as MBS!
- Shaded access to the MRT/ subway (Bugis)
- Unblocked views (in some of the rooms, not all)
- Complimentary mini bar (no alcohol) in the room; complimentary tea, coffee, and drinks all day in the Andaz lobby (Sunroom)

This 342 room, 5-star hotel is the first Andaz in Southeast Asia and occupies the top 15 stories of a 39-story mixed-use building. The hotel lobby, pool and coffee shop (Alley on 25) is found on the 25th floor, with guest rooms from level 26 to 37, followed by restaurants on Level 38 and a rooftop bar on the 39th.
Andaz hotel has lots of local touches, such as the design of the hotel slippers, local-branded snacks in the complimentary mini bar (excluding alcohol.) It has UK-style mains socket, a USB-A and a USB-C port. The room is a good size for Singapore, though not as large as Marina Bay Sands Hotel. (Keep in mind Andaz is also about half the price!)
Service at Andaz is also pretty good (e.g. the doorman offered us umbrellas when it was raining.)
However, note that the Andaz lobby is quite small given the number of rooms, and feels a bit small for a 5-star hotel. (Having said that, I've been to the hotel several times and the lobby's never been 100% full, probably because everyone is out exploring.) In addition, you need to change lifts on the 25th floor to get to the rooms, so it can be a bit of a hassle if you prefer direct access.
Note: bathtubs are only found in suites.
Coliwoo Hotel Kampong Glam
Highlights:
- brand new
- has laundry facilities
- has kitchen facilities
Coliwoo Midtown is a co-living apartment in Singapore which also accommodates tourists so don't expect everything you'll find at a regular hotel. (For example, check in is between 2 to 6 pm and you'll need to let them know what time you'll be arriving.)
Note that Coliwoo Midtown is pretty new, having just opened in 2026, so you'll benefit from newer facilities/ rooms but there may be surprise underlying issues that have not been flagged yet.
Parkroyal on Beach Road
Highlights:
- Connected to a building with shops, a 7/11 and a minimart
- Decent sized rooms
Parkroyal Beach Road is a 4-star hotel near Kampong Glam. (Note that there are several Parkroyal Hotels in Singapore so make sure you input the correct one into Google Maps/ give the cab driver the exact name! If you're looking for the Parkroyal that is a garden oasis in the sky, that would be Parkroyal Pickering!)
Although the Chinese restaurant at Parkroyal Beach Road is said to be award winning, I went to Sichuan Dou Hua once and wasn't particularly impressed. In addition, although there is a bus stop outside the hotel, it's about 10 minutes on foot to the closest MRT (subway) station, which can feel like eternity in Singapore's heat!
