Marina Bay is one of the best areas to stay in Singapore and here are the best Hotels in Marina Bay, Singapore (beyond the famous Marina Bay Sands and its infinity pool.) I've personally visited all of them so you'll find real insights into staying at the hotels here, and not just a regurgitation of what you already see online!

Orchard and Tanglin used to be THE place to stay in Singapore. However, Marina Bay has risen in popularity over the years and it's not difficult to see why.
In fact, in 2025, I'd choose staying there over Orchard and Tanglin! If you're not sure where to stay, here are my reviews of the top hotels in Marina Bay.
Note: most of these hotels are 5-star hotels, so obviously come with a flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi. Hence I'm not going to write about such "hardware" in this list but more on what makes staying in the hotel unique (whether in a good way or bad way!)
Marina Bay Sands (MBS)

I'd recommend staying at the Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) to anyone who wants a beautiful waterside location, convenient access to amenities and public transport (restaurants, a MRT station/ subway, Museums, supermarket and more), great views, and enjoys "seeing and being seen." (I actually prefer smaller boutique hotels but the Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) is so amazing, I don't hold its size against it! However, if you want a private place to stay, where you don't see other guests in the lobby and public areas, MBS is not the place for you.) Also, it's not cheap- it's 1 of the 2 most expensive hotels on this list.
This iconic hotel, which is associated with the film Crazy Rich Asians, is my FAVORITE in Singapore.
I've stayed at Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) over 10 times and have never had a bad experience- click here for my Marina Bay Sands hotel review. (That's not to say that things never go wrong at MBS- that would be impossible- but it's never been anything major, the staff always fix it, and have a great attitude about doing so.)
Once, I left my clothes in the room after checking out, and was able to get them back! On another stay, Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) didn't have a room available when I checked-in, so I was given free afternoon tea and breakfast for my entire stay!
Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) is best known for its infinity pool and spectacular views- you can read more about the MBS poolside experience here. I love hanging out at the pool in the evenings as it's so nice and breezy. They also offer free fitness classes to guests- I LOVE the Yoga on the Skypark Observation Deck/ 57th floor!
On the down side, along with Raffles Hotel, it's 1 of the pricier places to stay in Singapore. And, it's not exactly designed for a private and intimate experience- there are over 1000 rooms after all!

Fullerton Bay Hotel

I recommend Fullerton Bay Hotel to someone who wants a gorgeous waterside setting, easy access to Singapore's business district and is looking for a more private experience (It has only 100 rooms as compared to MBS' 1000+ rooms.) However, it's not as convenient for public transport and some of the restaurant staff need better training.
Fullerton Bay Hotel is on the opposite side of the bay from MBS (so you get a good view of MBS from it.) It's well known for its heritage, good service, but I find the food and beverage offering a bit hit-or-miss.
I actually prefer the decor of the public areas at Fullerton Bay to MBS. However, the MBS rooms are top-notch.
In addition, I personally find Fullerton Bay Hotel not so ideal for public transport. Although the closest MRT, Raffles MRT is only about 10 minutes walk away, it's a walk in the hot sun, which makes it feel much longer (unlike the Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) which has direct access to the MRT via an air-conditioned passageway.) In addition, Raffles MRT is the station serving Singapore's business district so if you take it during peak times, the crowds will be insufferable.
There are buses stopping nearby, but taking the MRT is a much easier way to get around Singapore.
Note: do not confuse Fullerton Bay Hotel with its sister hotel (located across the road), Fullerton Hotel. If taking a cab, make sure the taxi driver knows which one you're going to.

Nearby Hotels
These hotels are within walking distance of the Marina Bay Area but not exactly in it. (Note that Singapore's weather is hot and humid, so everyone's definition of walking distance can be quite different! Here I mean around 20 minutes, or less, on foot.)
Raffles Hotel (21 min)

Raffles Hotel is my top recommendation for travelers who love history and want a hotel that has extra special touches. If you hate the heat though, this is not the place for you, as much of Raffles Hotel is open air. (The restaurants and rooms are, of course, air-conditioned. Some of the rooms can feel a bit dark thanks to the colonial style furniture.)
Raffles Hotel is 1 of Singapore's most iconic hotels- in fact, it's where the main characters of Crazy Rich Asians stay. Despite its age, everything is top-notch and modern, as it closed for renovation between 2017 and 2019.
This sounds trite, but Raffles Hotel really goes the extra mile to make your trip special. For example, ig has a resident Historian who is usually stationed in the lobby to talk to guests and tell them about the Hotel's history. (It also does History tours for guests.)
It also organises free music concerts every now and then- these are open to the public, not just hotel guests, and can be a little messy in organizaton. Which brings me to 1 of the things I don't like about the hotel- the hotel attracts a lot of members of the public, so it can feel a little too... open? (There is a cordoned off area that is only accessible to hotel guests though.)

As you may have gathered, I prefer hotels with a waterside location. However, the grounds of Raffles Hotel are so lush and green that I don't miss the water. Every room is a suite and comes with a personal butler.
Oh, and the Raffles Hotel food offering isn't the best- not an issue though as you have a LOT of good food options within easy walking distance.
Note: this is where the famous Singapore Sling was created.
The Westin Singapore (16 min)
Want an outdoor infinity pool but can't afford Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) prices (over S$1000 per night)? Try The Westin Singapore! Although the hotel is conveniently located in terms of shopping malls, I'm personally not such a fan of the location as it doesn't have such convenient access to the waterside.
The Westin Singapore! has 300+ rooms and an outdoor infinity pool on Level 35, with views of the Marina Bay Area. The rooms are decent in size- I once had 3 friends visit when staying here and we didn't feel too squashed.
Having said that, the rooms at The Westin Singapore! are not bad, but decorated more in business traveler style (as opposed to the more luxurious-city-break feel of Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS).) If I wanted to spoil myself with a luxurious vacation (and could afford it), it'd definitely be Marina Bay Sands hotel (MBS) for me.
Conrad Centennial Singapore (20 min)
Conrad is the hotel for you if you need connecting rooms- 90+ of the 500+ rooms are connecting. Other than that, there's not much to say about the hotel. (It's just like any other 5 star hotel, with a good location and good service. The breakfast is good though.)
One important thing to point out is that WiFi at Conrad is not free, unless you sign up for the Hilton Honours membership programme.
Note: don't confuse this with Conrad Orchard! Even locals get confused!
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore (21 min)
This hotel is quite similar to the ones in Korea- although it's a 5-star hotel, there is a charge to use the sauna and steam room (it's part of the spa.)
The room is large, and some have good views. However, the room decor is more business-comfort than stylish and some rooms are showing obvious signs of their age.
Personally, I would not book PARKROYAL Marina Bay.
Mandarin Oriental, Singapore (19 min)
Although the Mandarin Oriental Singapore hotel dates back to 1987, it's been renovated twice, in 2004 and 2023. I love its direct access to Marina Square Shopping centre- Marina Square is not the most exciting mall in Singapore but it is linked to City Hall MRT and other more interesting malls.
It has 500 plus rooms, a very large Hotel Lounge and 10 restaurants.
The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (17 min)
Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore is my top recommendation for fans of Chihuly's artwork, and are foodies.
If you're a fan of Dale Chihuly, Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore is the hotel for you- the hotel has a Chihuly Lounge with his work.
The 600+ room Ritz also has great food offerings. Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore has a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, a famous local buffet, and a good, small Japanese restaurant with some good-value lunch sets. If you don't want to eat in the hotel, you're within a stone's throw of many restaurants.
Famous guests of Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore include Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga (who actually moved from the Mandarin Oriental next door due to overzealous fans.)
Fullerton Hotel (19 min)

Fullerton Hotel is ideal for visitors to Singapore who want to live in a gorgeous historic building, to a Singapore Museum and Galleries, and enjoy riverside strolls. (I'd say the location is really top notch.) It is particularly beautiful during the Christmas season. However, it's 1 of the older hotels on the list, and has not been extensively refurbished, so it's not suitable for people who want the most modern rooms.
Housed in Singapore's old General Post Office, Fullerton Hotel is a 400 room hotel ocated by the river. (The building is of such significance, it is Singapore's 71st national monument.)
The Fullerton Hotel is within an easy walk of the Asians Civilisation Museum- it's literally just across the bridge- the National Gallery Singapore, and the Esplanade (the furthest at 10 minutes walk.) You can also take a very scenic walk by the river to Singapore's Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay, where you'll find many shops and restaurants.
Note that Fullerton Hotel was opened in 2001 and has not undergone any major renovation since then, so it would be 1 of the "older" hotels on the list. In addition, some of the rooms are internal-facing. (The rooms have views of the atrium courtyard, downtown Singapore, the Singapore River promenade or Marina Bay.)
Whilst the Fullerton Hotel staff are generally very friendly- they once even lent me an umbrella when I was just passing through and not staying at the hotel- the restaurant staff (especially at The Town and the courtyard cafe) seem to need more training.
