Haeundae Traditional Market is a small market close to Haeundae Beach in Busan. It gets a lot of tourists thanks to its strategic location- but is it worth visiting? Scroll down to find out!

Haeundae Market 해운대시장 is a small Korean market near Haeundae Beach. (It's within easy walking distance of Haeundae subway (5 minutes walk) and the beach- I've even walked there from Signiel Hotel in the rain!)
It's quite a pretty market- there are fairy lights- but it's small and not so special that I would make it a special stop on my Busan itinerary.
I recommend going if you're staying in Haeundae, but don't go to Haeundae just for this market: does that make sense?
Address:
부산광역시 해운대구 구남로41번길 22-1 (중동) | 22-1, Gunam-ro 41beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan
How to Get There

- Use Exit 3 of Haeundae Station (Busan Metro Line No. 2)and walk 5 min
OR Take Buses 100, 115-1, 141, 200, 307, or 39 and get off at Haeundae Market.
What You'll Find
It's mostly small eateries and a few shops, as shown below:

(In case you were wondering, here are my top food recommendations for Busan- as well as what not to eat!)

In Busan, it's common for seafood restaurants to have live seafood- you'll find them swimming in tanks outside the restaurant and sometimes can choose your own.
Fun fact: the market was shown on the Korean drama Strong Girl Nam-soon. (Nam Soon and her Mom visited the market together.)
Things to Do

You can try some of the seafood that Busan is famous for or have some Korean street food. Not everything is good- the food doesn't taste as good these days- but the hotteok (Korean sweet pancake) is not bad.
Tips for Visitors
- It's really quite small so you won't need more than 2 hours there.
Nearby Attractions and Excursions
- Haeundae Beach: take a walk along the beach to digest your food. At night, you can see people setting off sparklers/ small fireworks.
- Busan Sky Capsule & Beach train: this is my favorite thing to do in Haeundae but it can be a bit complicated so make sure you read my Blue Line Park Sky Capsule review!
